Hypnotherapy is a guided therapeutic process that uses a natural state of focused relaxation, known as hypnosis, to access the subconscious mind, where our habits, beliefs, emotions, and deep-seated patterns are stored.

You’ve likely experienced something close to this already. Think of those moments when you’re completely absorbed in a film or a book, so immersed the world around you fades. That natural absorption is similar to the state we intentionally create in hypnotherapy, your attention is narrowed, your analytical mind quietens, and positive change becomes possible at a deeper level.

Yes! The majority of my sessions are held online. Although I have an in-person office in Heanor, Derbyshire, I’ve seen results that are just as effective as in-person therapy, with the added benefit of working together from anywhere in the world.

In fact, most people prefer online sessions because they find their home environment more familiar and comforting than someone else’s office. This often allows them to relax more deeply in their own space.

Online sessions also save time, eliminate travel stress and expenses, and make it easier to schedule appointments at a convenient time of day.
You can often get started sooner, with appointments available at shorter notice.

All you need is:

  • A good Wi-Fi connection
  • A quiet, private space where you won’t be disturbed
  • A comfortable chair or sofa where you can relax
  • Your phone switched off to avoid distractions

And if you’d like, bring a cup of tea to help you settle in!

Most clients notice meaningful progress within 3 to 6 sessions. Three sessions are usually recommended as a starting point and are available as a discounted package. For more persistent issues, a six-session block may be more suitable. Specific programmes are also available to address sleep, weight management and lucid dreaming.

Hypnosis is a natural state of deep relaxation and focused awareness. You’re conscious and aware the entire time and can choose to enter or exit the state at any point.

It’s similar to being absorbed in a good film: you’re emotionally engaged, yet always aware of your surroundings and holding the remote.
